You should start by taking the minimum amount of time like one day. Find out what type of merchandise sell for that particular flea market and what the people buy.
The cost to reserve a space varies. Many factors contribute to the price of a selling space. The space location. How many people usually come to that particular flea market. How long you want to reserve your space. Rates could vary depending on what part of the country the flea market is in. Try to find a one with a lot of traffic and well organized rather than a disorganized one.
The cost of the space show be moderate when taken in to consideration of the potential profit.. Some flea market promoters will assign you a space and sell the items for you for a portion of the sales.

This sounds profitable and fun. I've actually never been to a flea market before but my husband and I will be visiting one in the northern part of Indiana in a couple of weeks. It's supposed to be huge.
